Miracle Salve

Being the Mother of 3 boys, we have more then our share of bumps, scrapes, cuts, ect, ect... And this is my 'Go-To-Salve'!!!!

I love this salve!! And I use it for EVERYTHING!!! Ok, not 'that way'... Everything as in the physical aspect of it. The wounds never take long to heal up. And they heal nicely as well!!! The boys rarely whimper when I smir it on cuts. If they do it's more from the idea of it or actually hurting the wound, then the salve hurting the open sore.

The best place I have found that works awesomely, (is that a word??) is my baby's diaper rashes, A.K.A Yeast Infections. I even used it on my 4 yr. old who had yeast infection at the time.

I've used it on lips that were overly sore and chapped, splinters, insect bites, burns... and I'm sure more.

It contains Plaintain, which, if you've never studied into it, you really should. It is a very effective astringent, demulcent, and hemostatic, which works wonders on all sorts of insect bites and stings.

It also contains organic comfrey root which possesses amazing abilities to support healing of cuts and abrasions. And it’s a comforting astringent for treating inflammation and bruising.

Propolis, another ingredient, can be used topically for skin problems ranging from ordinary abrasions to eczema, acne, skin cancers, bruises, and burns to gum infections and advanced herpes in the mouth.

For a full list of ingredents and their helps in the salve go here. They say, 'Save space in your medicine cabinet and healing time for your skin. Use Beeyoutiful’s Miracle Skin Salve to replace antibiotic first-aid ointments, anti-itch cortisone creams, hemorrhoid medicines, diaper rash concoctions, minor burn treatments, and eczema and yeast rash lotions. Get rid of all those tubes, bottles, and containers. One simple jar of Miracle Skin Salve will do'.

You can purchase it through there website-Beeyoutiful. I also love a few other products they sell, Super Mom Pills, and Super Kids Vitamins. I have used other products as well, just not as regularly as these.

Their Berry Well, is like my Elderberry Syrup. And I had been buying it through Beeyoutiful, until I began making my own.

I love that it's Natural and something so easy to use!! It actually will last me a while, even though I use it heavily. And yes, I tote it with me in my diaper bag, you never know when you or someone else will need it.

Raising Boys

I scrub the wall of fingerprints,
Pick up the mounds of clothes.
I sweep the dirt that shoes track in-
Wish I could use a hose!

Meals are served from dawn to dark,
Dirty dishes crowd the sink.
Just when they're washed and put away-
Everyone wants a drink!

The washer pulls the dirty grime
From pants worn thin and patched.
They look so very neat and clean-
Yuck, look what the pockets hatched!

Broken bones and bloody knees,
I should have been a nurse.
I take it all in shaky stride-
Just grateful it's not worse!

Screams and shouts and arguments
Test the keeping of my cool.
They left the neighbor's faucet on-
See their new front yard pool!

A soothing bath is ecstasy,
A reward at the end of my rope.
Raising boys isn't really bad-
But first I must wash the soap!

A rose can say I Love You,
Orchids can enthrall;
But a weed bouquet in a chubby fist,
Oh my, that says it all!

I'm A Queen

I'm the Queen of a beautiful kingdom
God gave it to me for my own.
My castle's a rambling old farm house
And a low rocking chair my throne.
My subjects are dear little children
Who willingly come at my call.
The king is the husband and father
Who furnishes bread for us all.
Sometimes when I mend little stockings
Or hear a short prayer at my knee
I marvel that God in His wisdom
Presented the kingdom to me.
I feel so weak and unworthy
To guide the little feet that roam
To keep them all safe and contented
In our beautiful kingdom of HOME.

This past Friday and Saturday my Mom, sisters and I had the privilege of attending a Ladies Retreat. I must say I was greatly Blessed to be there. It has been an amazing journey God has been leading me on, and I was so Blessed to see God work in my life in ways I would NEVER have believed could happen in a few days. I should never underestimate the Power of God, but so many times we forget just how powerful God is. And it is so amazing to see the Miracles in lives happen.
The main speaker spoke on "I Am a Queen". We as women often wish for our lives to be different, that we could be like 'So & So'. If God wanted us to be 'So & So' He'd have made us 'So & So'. As long as I try to be and live like someone else, I will live in frustration. Do we look in the mirror and see ourselves as a Kitten, when really there is a Lion sitting there?? How we look at ourselves affects how we look at and live our life. God bought us with His life. Why do we look down at ourselves and try to change what we are. God doesn't hold our sin against us, He has forgiven ALL, before we even made our first mistake. We tend to live like a pauper and not the Queen God made us to be.

I don't feel like I can do justice to what all she shared... All I can say it has changed my life. And I am excited to see where God will lead me from here.

Butterhorns

I've been making these Butterhorns for quite a few years now. It all started soon after I was married and my Aunt asked me to make them for a family get together. Then another friend wanted me to make them for a work day to go with her meal. I think I tripled the batch and ran out. Every one LOVES them!!! I never make just one batch, I do at least 2 and often 3. They freeze well, just warm up a bit and they taste fresh!!! They are my Brother-in-laws favorite... Try it, you won't be sorry!!:)

Butterhorns
1 C. Lukewarm water
1 pkg. Yeast or 1TBLS bulk
1/2 C. Sugar
3 Eggs
1 tsp Salt
1/2 C. Soften Butter
5 C. Flour

Dissolve yeast in water. Add rest of ingredients. Kneed well. Let rise until double. Punch down. Divide into small chunks, and roll out, into a rough circle. About 12-15in. in diameter.
Then cut into wedges-like a pie.
Then roll from wide edge to point.
And put on greased cookie sheet or pan of some sort.
Let raise until double. (I generally turn my oven on at this point and when it's heated up, put the first pan in.) Bake at 350* for 15 min. Butter the tops and let cool on dish towels/racks/whatever. (I use a towel.)
Enjoy!!! They are super good while still warm too!!!
